EU and EU member states have agreed to a list of 14 countries that will be allowed to enter the EU again today (30th), including Korea, from July 1st, according to Reuters.

The countries are Korea, Algeria, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, Serbia, Thailand, Tunisia and Uruguay.

For Chinese travelers, if the Chinese government allows European citizens to travel to China, entry into the EU may also be permitted.

However, the United States has been removed from this list.

It is estimated that the decision to exclude the United States and allow China may have geopolitical implications, and may reveal the recent tensions between the United States and Europe's Atlantic alliance.

It is up to each member country to decide whether to follow this list.

Some Member States have already allowed citizens from some countries outside the EU to enter.

To prevent the spread of Corona19, 27 member states of the EU introduced a travel ban to prevent the inevitable entry of third-country citizens into the EU from mid-March.

However, as the spread of Corona 19 slowed, the European Commission, the executive committee of the European Union, has recently advised Member States to partially and gradually lift entry restrictions for travelers from countries outside the EU.

Accordingly, EU member countries have been discussing entry criteria.
