"We managed to transform the dynamics of the first round into the dynamics of victory. And that is a great satisfaction," said the candidate EELV, who came in first with 35.5% of the votes, in the first round. "It is the result of long-term work started three years ago. We tried to invent a new way of doing politics," said the sometimes original methods engineer (he had especially disguised as Trump in 2017 to promote ecology on the largest square in Tours).

A participation rate "a little higher than the national"

"The city of Tours has a slightly higher participation rate than the national. This means that we have created momentum," added the future mayor, who had rallied the entire left on his list in the first round. "I am also very happy to be part of this green wave. If we have a large network of green cities, we would hope to be able to change things at the national level," he hoped.
