  Bolivia’s Supreme Electoral Court issued a communiqué on the same day saying that campaign campaigns will begin on July 24 and end on September 3. If there is no winner in the first round of voting, the second round of elections will be held on October 18.

  The Supreme Electoral Court emphasized that due to the continued spread of the new crown epidemic, the necessary measures to protect public health must be strictly implemented in the electoral process.

  The election in Bolivia was originally scheduled for May 3 this year. In order to prevent and control the new crown epidemic, the Bolivian Provisional Government announced on March 21 that the country began to implement "full isolation" at home from 02:00 on the 22nd, and the election activities were suspended.

  In November 2019, the current President of Bolivia, Morales, was forced to resign due to the election fraud and left Bolivia. At the time, the second deputy speaker of the Senate, Agnes, announced his appointment as interim president. The new government then decided to hold a general election again, the date is set for May 3 this year.
