A light wind of panic blows on the Pré-Perché square in Rennes. Set between Boulevard de la Liberté and the Colombier shopping center, this small park is usually quite frequented by families from the neighboring residence. But for a few days, it has been rather deserted. The reason ? The disappearance of a royal python reported to firefighters on Tuesday. A note was left in the residence to warn that an "animal of one meter has escaped", specifying that it is strongly recommended not to leave his children alone in the park, reports Ouest-France .

While waiting to find the two-year-old female, the residence manager called for caution. Listed in the category of "NAC" for "new pets", the royal python is native to Africa. The smallest specimen in the family, it is a "constrictor" and kills its prey by suffocating them. It is not poisonous.
