The departmental president of the French Federation of Rescue and First Aid in Isère was indicted for rape, we learned this Wednesday from the Isere public prosecutor's office. Aged 60, he is suspected of having abused two young women between the years 2008 and 2012. They both had complained in early 2019.
One of the victims, now 27 years old, explained that she was regularly raped and sexually assaulted by this man, while she was a volunteer first aid worker within the association, and therefore under his responsibility. The rapes were allegedly committed on the premises of Sassenage but also at the young woman's home when she was still a minor, says Le Dauphiné Libéré .
He admitted the facts in police custody
The man was placed under judicial supervision with the ban on coming into contact with the victims and the ban on carrying out any activity related to first aid or involving minors.
"He acknowledged the facts in police custody but remains presumed innocent at this stage," said the prosecution, adding that the suspect will soon be heard by an investigating judge.
