The police announced on Monday the dismantling of two workshops for the production of false papers in the Paris region, and the indictment, by a Marseilles judge, of three people who fueled heavy traffic.

Two 35-year-old Algerians were taken into custody after admitting the facts in police custody, while the companion of one of them was placed under judicial supervision, we learned from the brigade of mobile police search at the borders of Marseille.

From Marseille to Barbès

This network specialized in Spanish, Italian, Belgian and French identity cards as well as driving licenses. A part was sold in the Parisian district of Barbès, between 150 and 250 euros each.

The investigation began in Marseille with the discovery by the transporter Chronopost of a package containing French and foreign documents, stolen in Marseille, bound for Greece.

"These documents were sent to a network of smugglers in Greece", to serve people who resemble the official holder of the papers, said the police officer. Thanks to eavesdropping and hideouts, the investigators go back to two workshops for making false papers, installed in apartments in Survilliers and Cormeilles-en-Parisis, in Val-d'Oise.
