It was during the night until Monday that police were called to the Frykenbadens campsite outside Kil.

The police patrol found the lifeless woman in connection with the couple's caravan.

"She was found indoors," the police spokesperson told SVT Nyheter Värmland yesterday.

The 77-year-old husband was arrested at the scene and later arrested on probable cause for murder.

But he denies the accusations.

- Yes, he refuses murder. He says he did not intend to kill her, says prosecutor Rebecca Hällgren.

Does that mean he has explained how she died?

- I can't comment on that further.

The 77-year-old defense attorney, Mats Hellman, confirms the man's attitude.

- He denies murder. He did not intend to kill her. And we don't know the cause of death, either. We have to wait for what the investigation comes to.

By Thursday, the prosecutor must decide whether the 77-year-old should be arrested.

- We are working to clarify the course of events. We held several hearings during yesterday, says Rebecca Hällgren.

Are there witnesses to the incident?

- There are several people who have been heard as witnesses. But what they witnessed I do not want to go into.
