Four CRS, placed in police custody Monday in the investigation into violence in a Burger King in December 2018 on the sidelines of a demonstration of "yellow vests" in Paris, are to be presented this Tuesday to an investigating judge, a have we learned from a judicial source, confirming information from LCI.

On December 1, 2018, at the end of the day, around thirty demonstrators and a few journalists had found refuge in a Burger King located on Avenue Wagram in Paris, near the Arc de Triomphe, after a day of mobilization marked by numerous violence and confrontations.

Protesters severely beaten

A dozen CRS, who arrived on the scene a few minutes later, also entered the establishment. Inside, they severely beat several demonstrators, some lying on the ground, using batons - a scene filmed by several journalists.

This case, considered emblematic of the excesses observed in the maintenance of order in the face of the “yellow vests” movement, had led to the opening of a preliminary investigation, entrusted to the General Inspectorate of the National Police (IGPN) . This investigation was entrusted at the end of May to an investigating judge.
