To participate in the parade on Red Square on June 24 in honor of the 75th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany declared 216 units of military equipment, according to the website of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. A number of samples of the latest and promising weapons will be demonstrated for the first time.

Tracked Debutants

In column number five on Red Square, infantry fighting vehicles T-15 Armata and Kurganets-25 will be equipped with remote control modules Dagger and Epoch, respectively. The peculiarity of these weapons is the presence of a 57-mm gun. Previously, it was planned to install 30-mm guns on both BMPs.

“Dagger” consists of a universal automatic high-ballistic gun, a 7.62-mm Kalashnikov machine gun and “Ataka” guided anti-tank missiles. The Epoch module includes an automatic low-ballistic gun, a coaxial modernized Kalashnikov 7.62-mm machine gun, and Kornet anti-tank missiles. This weapon allows you to hit a wide range of ground targets and fire at air targets.

T-15 - 50-ton tracked vehicle, unified with the Russian third-generation tank T-14. Armored infantry fighting vehicles provide protection from all ammunition and shells of grenade launchers of caliber 100-150 mm. “Armata” is also equipped with the Afganit all-angle active defense system, capable of intercepting ammunition flying at a speed of 1.7 km / s.

Kurganets-25 is another representative of a new generation of tracked combat vehicles. The mass of this BMP is 25 tons, the maximum speed on the highway is 80 km / h, on the water - 10 km / h. The product is intended for the transportation of troops and is able to accommodate up to eight troops. At Kurganets-25, as well as at T-15, the Afganit complex was installed.

Another tracked debutant of the Victory Day parade will be the T-90M Breakthrough tank with an improved 125mm 2A46M-4 smoothbore gun. The brainchild of the Uralvagonzavod concern combines maneuverability and a high level of protection.

The designers equipped the tank with the third-generation “Relict” dynamic complex, which greatly simplifies the process of replacing damaged areas of armor in battle. The frontal projection of the "Breakthrough" is able to withstand the direct hit of almost any ammunition.

Also, engineers took into account the latest innovations in the use of heavy military equipment in modern combat conditions. T-90M is integrated into a single tactical link management system (ESU TK) developed within the walls of the Sozvezdie concern (Voronezh). It significantly increases the effectiveness of the interaction of participants in the theater of operations.

The “Breakthrough” project was carried out on the basis of combat experience gained in the Syrian operation. Experts believe that the T-90M is superior to its Western counterparts in terms of the combined combat properties, including the French Leclerc, German Leopard and American Abrams.

"Tosochka", "Hero", "Derivation"

Among the models of wheeled vehicles at the Victory Day parade, the TOS-2 Tosochka flamethrower system, developed in the interests of the radiation, chemical and biological defense troops (RBW), will debut. It was created on the basis of the Ural car of increased carrying capacity and cross-country ability.

“She (“ Tosochka. - RT ) has an increased launch range of unguided rockets. Aiming, shooting and fire control TOS-2 is fully automated. Promising technologies that fully meet modern requirements have been applied in the development of this system, ”the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Another novelty of the domestic defense complex at the military review on June 24 will be the “Agriculture” remote mining system (ISDM). It is made on the basis of the KamAZ car and is capable of producing a volley in automatic mode at the calculated aiming points.

According to the military, the ISDM is based on the remote installation of minefields, which is the safest and most maneuverable. In addition, this method "has a high degree of automation and autonomy of combat work."

“In this system (ISDM) modern high-performance mines of a new generation are used that fully meet the requirements of international agreements on their self-liquidation,” the RF Ministry of Defense website states.

Widely enough at the Victory Parade, anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) will be presented. One of them is the Vityaz S-350, the development of which the enterprises of Almaz-Antey Concern completed last year. This air defense system is designed to protect ground targets from a variety of aerospace attacks - cruise missiles and ballistic missiles, as well as aircraft, including drones.

"Vityaz" refers to the class of medium-range air defense systems. However, its ammunition includes missiles that allow hitting targets at short distances - up to 1.5 km. The maximum range of defeat is 60 km, height - 30 km. The S-350 can simultaneously fire at 16 aerodynamic and 12 ballistic targets.

Vityaz’s supplies to the army started at the end of 2019. In the army, he replaces the early modifications of the S-300 Favorit complex. S-350 equipment allows you to integrate it into a single air defense network with the S-400 Triumph, S-300VM4 and S-500 Prometheus systems.

For the first time, the anti-aircraft artillery complex (ZAK) 2C38 Derivation-Air Defense will ride across the cobblestones of Red Square. This combat vehicle, made on the basis of the BMP-3, is capable of destroying aircraft ammunition, cruise missiles, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), UAVs, low-flying helicopters, and also firing on lightly armored vehicles and surface targets.

“The combat vehicle is equipped with an uninhabited combat module with a combined passive reconnaissance and sighting system. It provides for the detection and firing of air and ground targets when firing from a place, on the move and afloat, ”the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports.

High firepower “Derivations-Air Defense” provides a remotely controlled combat module AU-220M. It includes a 57 mm high-ballistic automatic gun with a rate of fire up to 80 rounds per minute and a 7.62 mm 6P7K machine gun (a modification of the Kalashnikov machine gun). The maximum horizontal range of hitting targets from the AU-220M gun is 14.5 km, vertical - 7.5 km.

Also on June 24, the public will be presented with a modernized version of the Pantsir-SM anti-aircraft missile-cannon complex (SAM). The previous modification of this anti-aircraft defense system was successfully baptized in Syria during the defense of the Khmeimim air base and earned high marks from Russian and foreign military specialists for outstanding performance.

A feature of the modernized "Shell" is the increased radius of destruction and replenishment of the arsenal with small-sized missiles, specially designed to destroy small drones at ranges up to 7 km.

In a January interview with TASS, Valery Slugin is the chief designer for air defense systems of the Instrument Design Design Bureau named after Shipunova (KBP, Tula) noted that new ammunition is the most financially appropriate means of destruction of small UAVs. In addition, the “Shell-SM” received the latest hypersonic missile, which will increase the rate of fire of the complex.

Success in rearmament

In an interview with RT, Independent Military Review editor Dmitry Litovkin said that the wide variety of equipment, which will be demonstrated on June 24 at Red Square, indicates serious successes in the rearmament of the Russian army in recent years.

“The Victory Day parade on Red Square is a kind of report on the work done to rearm the army. This is a demonstration of the continuity of generations and the results of the modernization of the Armed Forces, achieved to date. Russia shows that it can fight back any aggressor, ”Litovkin explained.

The analyst noted the importance of transferring Russian armored vehicles to a larger caliber and the process of expanding the range of ammunition. From Litovkin’s point of view, such an approach indicates that the military industry and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation have chosen the most optimal vector for improving combat vehicles.

A similar point of view is held by the head of the Bureau of Military-Political Analysis Alexander Mikhailov. In an interview with RT, he emphasized that the Victory Parade on Red Square is, among other things, an “exhibition of achievements” in the modernization of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

“There is no aggressive message. Firstly, Russian taxpayers get the opportunity to see the results of budget injections in the country's defense. Secondly, Russia makes it clear to its potential rivals and enemies that it possesses all the necessary types of weapons in order to protect its interests and borders, ”Mikhailov concluded.
