Arrived the day before, the delegation, notably made up of the president of the ECOWAS Commission and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Niger, began by meeting with actors of the crisis. Among them the opponents gathered within the "M5 RFP" (Movement of June 5-Rally of the Patriotic Forces).

All actors in the Malian crisis welcome the arrival of the ECOWAS delegation at this critical time. The hosts of Mali wanted to postpone the big rally this Friday announced by the movements and political parties of the opposition. Response from one of the leaders of this opposition, Dr Choguel Maïga: "  It will be practically impossible to cancel this march, unless the M5 strategic committee advises otherwise. Secondly, with regard to dialogue, we have never refused it. But there is dialogue and dialogue.  "

Malian opponents, with their new and influential leader, Imam Mahmoud Dicko , are not closed to dialogue, provided that the partner opposite, President IBK, plays "  fair game  ".

Faced with the situation, part of the presidential majority also does not hide its concern, as one of its members, Abdoulaye Amadou Sy confides: “ I think the ECOWAS is playing its role, and c 'is normal because I think the situation is quite tense.  "As for considering dissolving the National Assembly,"  opinions are divided, he replied. The poorly elected deputies are in their thirties.  "

The ECOWAS delegation will continue its meetings this Friday, before probably proposing a plan to end the crisis.
