On Thursday afternoon, June 18, firing occurred in a multi-story residential building number 38 on Priorov Street, located in the Northern Administrative District of Moscow in the Koptevo District. The incident killed four people, including a child.

The investigating authorities of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the city of Moscow opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code ("the murder of two or more persons").

According to the investigation, the bodies of two women, a man, as well as a young child with gunshot wounds, were found in an apartment on Priorov Street. The neighbors called the law enforcement officers upon hearing the popping, they said that shortly before the incident, a roommate went to the woman’s apartment.

The deputy head of the Main Investigation Department and the head of the Criminalistics Directorate of the UK left for the scene.

“At present, the necessary complex of investigative actions is being carried out, aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident. Investigators and forensic investigators examine the scene. The criminal investigation is ongoing, ”the agency said.

At the same time, the Moscow prosecutor’s office put in control the course and results of the investigation of this criminal proceeding. The prosecutor of the Northern Administrative District Grigory Radionov left for the state of emergency, he will coordinate the activities of law enforcement agencies.

“The prosecutor’s office will verify the fulfillment by responsible persons of the requirements of the legislation on licensing and permitting work in the field of arms trafficking, including licensing controls for their issuance,” said the head of the press service Lyudmila Nefyodova.

Meanwhile, a source in RIA Novosti in law enforcement said that the alleged offender had a gun license. He recorded a Saiga-12-1 hunting smoothbore rifle (license obtained in April) and an MP-80-13T pistol (in March).

In addition, the agency’s source reported victims of incidents in northern Moscow. They turned out to be Svetlana Tivchenko born in 1968, Elizaveta Hlyupina born in 1997, Matvey Makaganchuk born in 2016 and Sevastyan Putintsev born in 1999, who, presumably, made shooting.

RT found out that Elizabeth Hlyupina studied in the model house of Vyacheslav Zaitsev in 2019.

At the same time, a TASS source said that Putintsev was convicted of theft in 2017. At the same time, the video camera from the entrance recorded how he goes inside with a hunting carbine in a case.

Shooting Incidents in Moscow

Earlier this week, on June 15, an attack on law enforcement officers took place on Leninsky Prospekt Moscow. Two employees of the road-guard service (DPS) were stopped to check the taxi documents, after which a passer-by, presumably from traumatic weapons, opened fire on them. The police, despite the injuries, were able to neutralize the attacker. During a search of his rented apartment, extremist materials were found.

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Art. 317 of the Criminal Code (“Attempt on the life of a law enforcement officer”). The ministry also indicated that "it’s unreasonably opened fire towards traffic police officers."

On June 17, it became known that Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev would submit to the president ideas about rewarding traffic police inspectors - police captain Sergei Krylov and senior lieutenant Alexei Poyarkov with medals "For Distinction in Public Order Protection."

According to TASS, citing a source in medical services, both policemen are still in the hospital, but their condition has improved.

“One of them was transferred to the ward, the second - two operations were performed, he is conscious, but is still in the intensive care unit,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

In addition, on June 7, a man opened fire on passers-by from the window of an apartment in a residential building on Stroiteley Street. An attacker injured two people. Arriving at the scene of the incident, the police eliminated the shooter, who began to fire at law enforcement officers.

A criminal case was opened on the grounds of crimes under Part 3 of Art. 30, Art. 105 of the Criminal Code (attempted murder) and Art. 213 of the Criminal Code ("Hooliganism").
