Italy is gradually continuing its deconfinement in measured steps. Contact sports for amateurs is scheduled for June 25 at the national level. The Abruzzo region (center) has decided to allow the opening of football fields with restrictions. The players of Avezzano Calcio jumped at the opportunity. Report on these sporting reunions.

No competition in sight for a while for this 4th division team. No training per se, just a little game against four against five. Despite the rain, the party looks festive.

“  It's a very strong feeling because it's been a long time since I had entered a field, reports Elena. We were a little agitated and moved but we went there.  "

After three months without setting foot on the ground, Luna Maceroni, the captain, feels the difference.

“  It's a bit hard to start again. But, it's a lot of happiness. We've been waiting for this for the first week of confinement, so barely open, we came immediately. "

In theory, going into contact is prohibited and the ball can only be worn with gloves. In the club, access to equipment has also been limited, explains Laura Seritti, who heads the women's team of Avezzano Calcio.

"  They arrive in uniform. And although they play in the rain, they cannot take a shower because changing rooms are prohibited. But passion surpasses everything. "

A small technical constraint to realize the level, the test confirms the first impression.

"  Maybe the break helped to reflect or maybe since at home the only possible training is the basic technical exercises, they have improved a lot  ," adds Laura Seritti.

Play and have fun is the only goal of the day. But for next season, she hopes her team will win the championship.
