In the afternoon on Monday, June 15, in the west of Moscow there was an attack on law enforcement officers. As a result of the accident, two employees of the road guard service (DPS) were injured, the attacker was detained, he was also injured.

“In the area of ​​house 156 on Leninsky Prospekt, traffic police officers stopped a taxi service car for violating traffic rules. A passing citizen, allegedly from a traumatic weapon, fired at traffic police officers, as a result of which two policemen were injured, ”the Russian Interior Ministry’s Main Directorate for the city of Moscow said.

As noted in the department, in order to neutralize the attacker, employees used service firearms in accordance with the federal law "On Police". It is reported that the attacker was injured and was detained by employees affected by his hands.

“Currently, an investigative and operational group is working at the scene. All circumstances of the incident are established. The police and the attacker were taken to a medical facility, ”stated in the capital’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.

They also mentioned the names of the traffic police who were injured: Senior Lieutenant Alexei Poyarkov and Captain Sergey Krylov.

On the fact of the incident, the investigating authorities of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the city of Moscow opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Art. 317 of the Criminal Code (“Attempt on the life of a law enforcement officer”).

According to the press service of the department, the head of the GSU SK in Moscow, Andrei Strizhov, went to the scene.

“At present, the necessary complex of investigative actions is being carried out, aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident. Investigators and forensic investigators examine the scene. The criminal investigation is ongoing, ”the Investigative Committee said.

In addition, Moscow prosecutor Denis Popov placed special control over the investigation of the criminal case initiated by the investigation. The Moscow prosecutor’s office also reported that the prosecutor of the Western Administrative District, Andrei Danilov, and his deputy, Soslan Khubulov, coordinate the actions of law enforcement officers at the scene of the incident.

Immediately after the incident, a number of media reported that traffic police officers allegedly were attacked by a driver working in the Yandex.Taxi service, who was stopped for violating traffic rules. However, the press service of the company said that the taxi driver is in the case as a witness.

“According to our information, the taxi driver was indeed stopped for checking documents, but he has nothing to do with the shootout. According to the passenger, the shooting was started not by a taxi driver, but by a casual passerby. Now the driver, as a witness, is being questioned by law enforcement agencies, ”the Moscow news agency reports.

In addition, a source in RIA Novosti in law enforcement said that the instigator of the shooting was "a native of Nazran Ratmir Galaev, born in 1995." He will be checked for involvement in participation in extremist organizations.

At the same time, the Investigative Committee did not confirm the information that the attacker died in the hospital from gunshot wounds.

“Yes, he’s alive, he’s in the hospital,” said Yulia Ivanova, the official representative of the capital’s headquarters of the IC of Russia, answering the agency’s corresponding question.

According to a RT source, the attacker allegedly used the Grand Power T12 traumatic gun.

Shooting in Moscow

Recently, this is not the first shooting incident in Moscow.

So, on May 24, unknown persons opened fire at the Yasny residential complex on Kashirskoye Highway in southern Moscow. As a result of the shooting, one person was injured. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 2, article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Assassination attempt”), Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Illicit arms trafficking”) and Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Hooliganism”).

The prosecutor’s office took control of the incident. On May 26, the Chertanovsky court of Moscow chose a preventive measure in the form of custody of three alleged participants in the shootout - Maxim Yevlampiev, German Titenk and Vadim Rusanov.

On June 7, a man opened fire on passers-by from the window of an apartment located on Stroiteley Street. He injured two people. Arriving at the scene of the incident, the police eliminated the shooter, who began to fire at law enforcement officials.

A criminal case was opened on the grounds of crimes under Part 3 of Art. 30 tbsp. 105 of the Criminal Code ("Attempted murder") and Art. 213 of the Criminal Code ("Hooliganism").
