Emphasizing that the Emirate of Dubai continues to implement vital projects that support the economy, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, visited the project to develop the Dubai-Al Ain Road, which has a total cost of two billion dirhams, and His Highness also opened new bridges On the intersection of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Street with the Dubai-Al Ain Road, according to the strategic transport plan in the Emirate of Dubai.

Four bridge connections were opened at the intersection of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Street with Dubai-Al Ain Road with a capacity of two tracks for each link and a total length of 2600 meters, to ensure direct and free traffic in all directions on the intersection, as well as a major bridge was opened on the intersection of Sheikh Zayed Bin Street Hamdan Al Nahyan with the Dubai-Al Ain Road, with a length of 220 meters, with two paths, in addition to two links, to provide backward traffic for those coming from Dubai.

Upon his arrival at the intersection of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road with Dubai-Al Ain Road, His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai was received by His Excellency Matar Mohammed Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority.

It is worth noting that the development project of Dubai Al Ain Road extends for a length of 17 km, from the intersection of Dubai-Al Ain Road with Emirates Street to the intersection of Bu Kadra with Ras Al Khor Street and includes the expansion of the road from 3 tracks to 6 tracks in each direction, in addition to the establishment of a service street on both sides The road to raise the level of traffic safety, and the project in its entirety includes the development of six major intersections in order to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the service of residential gatherings on each end of the road, which includes each of Silicon Oasis and Dubailand residential complex and Liwan and the Dubai District design field, and the total length of bridges in the six intersections 6600 meters, and the slopes of bridges are about 4,900 meters.

The intersections being developed are the intersection of Dubai-Al Ain Road, with all of the Emirates streets, Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Nad Al Sheba, Al Midan, and Ras Al Khor, in addition to the intersection of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Street with Dubai-Al Ain Road.

Other intersections are currently under development including the intersection of Emirates Street with Dubai-Al Ain Road, by establishing a bridge link on Dubai-Al Ain Road, in addition to completing the intersection of Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street, where the linking process between the current Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Street will be completed. And its extension, which was opened in March 2018, by establishing a bridge that intersects with the Dubai-Al Ain Road, which consists of four tracks in each direction with the possibility of expanding it to five tracks in the future, and developing the existing bridge link to serve the traffic flow coming from the Dubailand residential complex going west to Dubai-Al Ain Road towards Dubai, and the establishment of a new bridge link to serve the traffic coming from Dubai heading north to the academic city and the Silicon Oasis, with the establishment of service roads on both sides of the street and the establishment of bypass links to serve the rest of the movements and development projects.

Also, the ongoing Nad Al Sheba intersection is being developed to serve traffic from the Dubai-Al Ain Road to the Nad Al Sheba and vice versa, in addition to improvements to the surface roads entering and leaving the Nad Al Sheba area, and the intersection of Al Midan Street with the Dubai-Al Ain Road and linking it with Manama Street, where will be established A bridge consisting of four tracks in each direction to connect Al-Maidan Street and Manama Street, as well as the development of the bridge based on Al-Maidan and Dubai-Al Ain streets to serve the development projects for Maidan.
