In Russia, the peak of the emergence of new cases of coronavirus occurred on May 11. This was told by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova.

“On May 11, we were already leaving the days off, and gradually the regions began to remove restrictive measures. It was for Russia, from the point of view of the emergence of new cases, the peak of the disease, ”RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

She pointed out that from the end of March to the present day, the daily increase in cases of the sick as a percentage has decreased by 16 times. 79% of patients were discharged from COVID-19 patient clinics, Golikova added.

Golikova also said that 49 Russian regions are already lifting restrictions imposed due to coronavirus, 43 of them are at the first stage. She also noted that the shift in the growth rate of new patients with coronavirus goes from Moscow to the regions, the share of the Moscow region in daily growth now occupies about 22-23% daily.

In addition, Golikova said that 47 regions began testing residents for antibodies to coronavirus, 88% of those tested were in Moscow.

At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the regions should carefully remove restrictions.

“And if we talk about how carefully we get out of restrictive measures, then, of course, each region adopts its own strategy. But I really hope that everyone comes out carefully, because important political events await our country, ”said Golikova. She noted that in the summer there will be a vote on constitutional amendments, as well as a parade on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Unified State Examination.

Over the past 24 hours, 8,706 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Russia, of which the largest number are in Moscow - 1,493, in the Moscow Region - 725, and in St. Petersburg - 262.

The total number of COVID-19 cases registered in the country reached 520,129, 274,641 people were cured of the disease, 6,829 patients died.

Health Minister Mikhail Murashko in an interview with Nail Asker-zade on the Russia 24 television channel called the situation with coronavirus infection in Russia manageable.

At the same time, he noted that for each region it is necessary to carefully listen to medical workers, as well as to the headquarters for controlling the spread of the disease, which gives "very reasonable, good, high-quality advice."

In addition, Murashko estimated the influence of weather on the distribution of coronavirus. The minister explained that colleagues from countries where temperatures have been high for a long time have said that the activity of coronavirus infection is not declining.

“What we face in the autumn-spring period fades into the background - these are all kinds of acute respiratory diseases of a different etiology, which can stratify and even worsen the course of the process, say, with coronavirus infection,” he said.

Murashko also noted the need to maintain the mask regime, and added that it is too early in all regions of the country to completely remove the restrictions imposed due to coronavirus.

In turn, the chief infectious disease specialist of the Ministry of Health, Elena Malinnikova, warned that before the mass use of the vaccine in Russia, the need may remain "to live with circulating COVID-19 in the population."

“With regard to the risks of the spread of coronavirus infection that await our citizens in the future: we must understand that all the risks that were earlier remained, but their danger decreased,” she said.

She expressed the opinion that it’s too early to talk about the complete victory over the coronavirus in Russia.

“The disease, although to a lesser extent, is still registered in the regions,” Malinnikova recalled.

Russian regions, depending on the epidemiological situation, remove or, on the contrary, extend restrictive measures.

So, the government of the Orenburg region extended the regime of self-isolation until June 21. Starting June 18, social service organizations will begin work on preparations for the phased removal of the isolation regime.

The regime of mandatory self-isolation of citizens was also extended in Krasnoyarsk - until July 12.

At the same time, Lenara Muzafarova, director of the Municipal Budgetary Institution in the Republic of Tatarstan, said that from June 15 all multifunctional centers in the region will begin to operate normally.

The head of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, in turn, noted a decrease in the prevalence rate of coronavirus in the region, but called for safety measures to be taken, despite the relief introduced in the region.
