The money seized on June 4 by the customs of Perpignan - Customs

Customs officials in Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales) indicate that they seized 500,450 euros on June 4 on the A9 motorway. That morning, customs officers from the Perthus brigade, on the Spanish border, checked a small truck, which was parked at a rest area.

The driver of the vehicle reportedly told customs officials that he was arriving from La Jonquera, across the border, to pick up equipment. But during the thorough search of the truck, the agents discovered a double bottom, the opening of which was activated by an electromagnetic mechanism.

Inside, they discovered numerous bundles of banknotes. An investigation was opened to try to determine the source of this incredible sum.
