The rescue service was called to the scene, along with the ambulance. But no effort was needed from the rescue service and no one should have been injured.

- We arrived and then we turned. It's like that with hot air balloons, they can't control that much. They land a little here and there. They usually have a plan, but then it doesn't always go according to plan, says Tony Frank, commanding officer at the Stockholm Rescue Services, to TT late Tuesday night.

The hot air balloon landed on a lawn next to a road.

Shortly after 22, police were alerted to the scene.

- We have been called there on the grounds that a hot air balloon has in some way failed and gone down in the area, says Per Fahlström, press spokesman at the Stockholm police region, to Aftonbladet.
