The trend follows a sharp price hike on Wall Street on Monday, where the Nasdaq exchange rose to a new historic top level.

However, the Stockholm Stock Exchange's OMXS index still has about 10 percent up to its historic peak, which was reached just before the corona crisis in February.

Among index heavyweights, drug manufacturer Astra Zeneca pulls the most up by 0.8 percent.

SBB sells offices in Borås and Halmstad

The major banks are heavy, with a fall in the Handeslbanken rate of 1.4 per cent.

Telecom manufacturer Ericsson continues to decline by 0.1 percent following Monday's announcement of a billion write-down of Chinese assets.

Real estate company SBB sells offices for almost SEK 1.2 billion in Borås and Halmstad. The stock is up 3.1 percent.

Analyst at the major bank Morgan Stanley lowers its recommendation on mining company Boliden's share, which drops 1.2 percent.

This year's race on Wall Street has recovered

In the US, the broad S&P 500 index rose by 1.2 percent on Monday and closed higher than it did at year-end.

Investors were delighted, among other things, at last week's job statistics, which showed that unemployment had fallen and that the number of people employed outside the agricultural sector had increased by 2.5 million from April to May. Hope was aroused that the US economy should quickly recover from the effects of the corona crisis.

The aviation industry led Monday's rise on Wall Street. United Airlines grew 14.8 percent and Delta climbed 8.2 percent. Aircraft manufacturer Boeing also rose sharply, up 12.3 percent. Also included was the conglomerate General Electric, whose share rose 7.4 percent.
