Jonas Sjöstedt (V) is one of several party leaders who in the party leader debate emphasizes that it is important to raise the status of the care profession.

- The lesson is that everyone who works in the elderly care should have the right to permanent employment and education. Education, more employees and a clearer medical responsibility, he says.

The moderates' party leader Ulf Kristersson also believes that the employee question may be a cause, but says the reasons why the infection was fixed on special housing need to be discussed in detail in the corona commission to be appointed.

- Unfortunately, I have personal experience of just this failure and have spoken to the municipality of Eskilstuna where my mother lived. They also mentioned that protective equipment was missing, that the equipment that came did not know how to use it, the language issue and, of course, the ban on visitors who came three weeks later, says Ulf Kristersson.

Åkesson: Early demanded that oral protection be mandatory

When asked if everyone in the elderly should have protective equipment, Stefan Löfven says it is perfectly reasonable. That causes the Swedish Democrats' party leader Jimmie Åkesson to react.

- Stefan Löfven says that we need protective equipment, but earlier you said it was counterproductive and now you have changed yourself on that point as well. We demanded early on that oral care and visor be mandatory in the elderly. You can solve it easily, it does not have to be high protection rating, it can suffice with a piece of cloth for the face. It's about not spitting on others, he says.
