The Information Office of the State Council of China issued at dawn today a "white book" on the battle the country has fought against the emerging coronavirus, under the title "Fighting Covid-19 .. China is Moving."

The book attributed the success of China in dealing with the Corona pandemic to several reasons, the most important of which was the adoption of the strategy of "temporary treatment centers" to deal with the endemic cases, and the reliance on traditional Chinese medicine that was used in the treatment of 92% of cases.

The white paper says that temporary treatment centers, or so-called "Fangsang" hospitals, are a major innovative solution that has prevented a major outbreak of the epidemic in China.

The book mentioned that the city of Wuhan - the origin of the virus - has transformed stadiums and exhibition centers into 16 temporary centers for treatment, as these centers provided about 14,000 beds and were able to accept all mild cases.

He explained that this measure helped reduce infection and virus transmission in residential communities and prevent mild cases from worsening.

On the other hand, the white paper mentioned that the cure rate of the emerging corona virus reached more than 94.3% on the Chinese mainland.

As of the end of last May, a cumulative total of 8,3017 confirmed cases had been reported on the Chinese mainland, of whom 78,307 infected patients had left hospital after recovery, and 4,634 people had died of the disease.

"A set of diagnostic and treatment protocols for traditional Chinese medicine have been developed to cover the full processes of medical observation, treatment of mild, moderate, serious and critical conditions, and recovery," the book explained.

He pointed out that more than 90% of confirmed cases in Hubei Province, the worst affected province, have received treatments of traditional Chinese medicine that have proven effective.

The book also mentioned that the authorities provided free medical treatment to all patients with the epidemic.

He said that as of May 31, the medical bills of 58,000 patients had been settled through basic medical insurance, with total expenditures of about $ 190 million.

The book says that China firmly believes that if all countries unite and cooperate to achieve a collective response, the international community will succeed in overcoming the Corona pandemic.

The book states that the world "will transcend this dark moment in human history into a brighter future."

He noted that China "mourns those who died and those who sacrificed their lives in the battle, and expresses its highest appreciation to those who struggle to save lives, and provides true moral support to those who have been infected and are receiving treatment."

It is noteworthy that China witnessed today six new cases of infection with the Corona virus for travelers coming from abroad, bringing the total number of cases to 83036, while the number of deaths remains unchanged at 4634.
