International winger Vincent Rattez has signed a three-year contract in Montpellier, the Hérault club confirmed on Saturday.

Rattez, 28 years old (1.81 m, 78 kg) and who has 5 selections with the Blues, arrives from La Rochelle (2016-2020) where he revealed himself under the direction of Xavier Garbajosa, who directs the Montpellier team for a season.

"Vincent Rattez is an important boy in a group. By his state of mind, he brings a lot of bond. He is a boy who has progressed a lot from year to year since his departure from Narbonne until he became international. expect Vincent to bring us his rugby and human qualities, his demands and his good humor! " Garbajosa hopes.

Rattez, originally from Colombes in the Paris region, has played for five seasons (2011-2016) in Narbonne (Pro D2), after passing through Gennevilliers, Paris UC or Racing 92. With La Rochelle, he competed in two half championship finals, scoring 27 tries in 98 games.

In parallel with this constant progression, this winger or rear recently joined the French team, participating in the last World Cup in Japan by replacing along the way the Toulousain Thomas Ramos and playing the Six Nations Tournament until his fibula fracture, contracted against Italy on February 9.

Recovered from his injury, Rattez will integrate from July 1 the workforce of Montpellier which should at this time resume training.

The MHR, which separated from its two Fijian wingers Timoci Nagusa (Grenoble) and Nemani Nadolo (Leicester), finished in 8th place in the Top 14, interrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
