Joel Persson stood for a brilliant debut season in SHL 2017-2018 when Växjö took home the SM gold. The success made him sign for Edmonton in the NHL, from where he was then loaned out for continued play in Växjö for one season. Last season, however, the 26-year-old made his debut in the NHL where he was listed for 13 games.
