The Prime Minister's speech during the National Day celebration at Skansen in Stockholm was mostly about the ordeal that the corona crisis has meant for Sweden, but also how the crisis will affect society for a long time.

- We live in historical times with historical trials. When we are finally through it, together we will rebuild the future. And we will do it with the same determination, self-discipline and sense of responsibility for each other that we have shown during this time, Löfven said.

Löfven mentioned that he often gets asked when everyday life should return, but emphasized the importance of continuing to persevere and that it is important to think that life will continue to be different. At the same time, there will come a time afterwards when "we can evaluate in detail how we acted during this crisis".

- One afterwards where we have to discuss whether the society that faced the corona crisis is the society that we in all parts want back. What we are going through is a historical time, but it also contains historical possibilities. In recent months, it has become very clear that we must equip Sweden. Our economy, welfare and, not least, our social cohesion.

- The question is no longer whether things will change, but how.
