"The axis of Arab evil" aims to achieve four goals, including confronting the Arab Spring, and eliminating Islamic movements and currents that seek reform, justice and renaissance, said the president of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, Ahmed Al-Resouni.

This came in an article published by the Moroccan jurist on his official website today, Saturday, entitled "The Quartets of the Axis of Arab Evil".

Al-Risouni indicated that "the quartets of the Arab axis of evil" is a term used by former Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki - at an earlier time - to describe the countries that imposed a blockade on Qatar (the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Egypt).

He said that the axis of evil aims to eliminate democratic tendencies that give people the right to choose and monitor their rulers and institutions.

He added that the means by which these countries work to achieve their goals is to monitor huge funds, organize coups, ignite wars and conflicts, to crush peoples and their aspirations.

The means also include hiring mercenaries from everywhere, from fighters and informants, from writers, media professionals, and artists, to bullying and material and moral assassinations, and establishing e-fly armies for lying, forgery, defamation, and mutilation.

He pointed out that the term Arab axis of evil has two meanings; The first: That it is the center of some evil among the Arabs, and the second is that the description is related to the evil itself, meaning that Arab evil has met and established a axis for it to be embodied in it and work through it.

It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt announced on June 5, 2017, cutting ties with Qatar and imposing punitive measures on them, for allegedly supporting terrorism, which Doha denies, in the worst crisis since the establishment of the Gulf Cooperation Council in 1981.
