• Córdoba Prince Joaquín of Belgium, with Covid-19 at a party in Córdoba skipping quarantine
  • Health crisis: Joaquin from Belgium apologizes after admitting that he did not keep the quarantine for coronavirus during his trip to Spain
  • Pandemic: Last minute of the coronavirus

A second person who met with Crown Prince Joaquin of Belgium during his stay in Córdoba, infected with coronavirus, has tested positive for Covid-19. The confirmation of this second case was announced this Friday by the Andalusian Regional Minister of Health, Jesús Aguirre , at a press conference at the Córdoba City Council.

Prior to this second positive, 11 people who had also had contact with Joaquín from Belgium had undergone the PCR test, all tests were negative . However, now doubts arise as to whether the Prince of Belgium attended a party in Córdoba on May 26 with 27 people - as the report by the Andalusian Health Service pointed out - or whether he attended several in which he did not would have exceeded the maximum allowed during phase 2.

According to the report of the National Police, which this Friday has handed over to the Subdelegation the Government in Córdoba and that ABC has advanced, Joaquín from Belgium reportedly attended an event in a villa in El Brillante and another one on a farm in Hornachuelos . One would have attended 15 people while the other 12, thus respecting the provisions of phase 2 of the de-escalation.

The Health Minister did not want to comment on this divergence between reports, who limited himself to pointing out that "it is only the responsibility of the Government Subdelegation" to make evaluations. In this sense, the Sub-delegate of the Government in Córoba, Rafaela Valenzuela , has also announced this Friday that a sanctioning proceeding will be filed against the aristocrat since he would have incurred an administrative offense by not keeping the 14 days of quarantine imposed by the Government to foreigners arriving in Spain.

Therefore, the sanction will go solely and exclusively against the Prince of Belgium despite the fact that, according to the report of the Andalusian Health Service, five people from Seville would have attended these events.
