A policeman was taken care of by the emergency services after a tough stop on Thursday afternoon on the Colombier slab in downtown Rennes, we learned from the firefighters. It was during a check of a group of individuals consuming alcohol on the public highway that the situation degenerated around 2:40 p.m. One of them threw a glass bottle towards the police.

While the latter were carrying out his identity check, the 19-year-old tried to flee. The police were then forced to use force to arrest the struggling individual. During the arrest, an officer was fairly seriously injured in the knee. He may be suffering from a cruciate ligament rupture. The young man arrested was placed in police custody where he was still on Friday. The injured police officer complained.
