Since Tuesday evening, the dice are thrown. Or almost. The lists present in the second round of the municipal elections are in any case submitted and the alliances of a completely new in-between-rounds completed. If some are in a favorable tie, like the outgoing mayor (LR) of Montauban, Brigitte Barèges, others will find it more difficult to keep their seat.

In Haute-Garonne, a second round will take place in 58 municipalities, including 27 with more than 1,000 inhabitants. And this will be the case in the three largest cities in the department: Toulouse, Colomiers and Muret.

Triangulars in the agglo

If in the Pink City, the duel between the left and the right is announced very tight, the games are not made to Colomiers either. The socialist Karine Traval-Michelet, outgoing mayor who has the support of EELV, came in first with 42.09% of the votes, before the ecologist Patrick Jimena, (27.33%) and the representative of the right, Damien Laborde (LR) with 22.52%. And it is this top trio, the same as in 2014, that will compete. But with a surprise: the alliance of dissident LREM, Eric Kaczmarek (5.90%) to Patrick Jimena, who had bottomed outgoing six years ago that.

2020 municipal results

A stone's throw away, in the commune of Tournefeuille, the outgoing socialist mayor Dominique Fouchier (41.75%) has on his way the candidate LREM Laurent Soulié who obtained 31.75% of the votes and Stéphane Meriodeau (13.03% ) and the left citizen list. A ballot far from linear and which could well be shaken if a part of the 60% of abstainers decide to move to the polls.

In Pamiers, a union against Trigano

Many of them coveted the post of mayor of André Trigano, 94, who is seeking a fifth term in Pamiers. Arriving at the head with 28.16% of the votes, it will have to compose with two other lists. That of Frédérique Thiennot (21.71%) who joined forces with a former Trigano assistant, Xavier Fauré (20.97%).

If the departmental councilor Jacques Laffargue (11.73%) has decided not to be on June 28, Daniel Memain will be the representative of the left (17.40%). All have the ambition to put an end to the 49 years of politics of the "patriarch" as some call Trigano.

RN to attack Moissac

He was announced high, he almost went to the first round. On March 15, the candidate for the National Rally, Romain Lopez, obtained 47.02% of the votes in Moissac, in Tarn-et-Garonne. He could have found himself in a triangular facing the various-left Estelle Hemmami (23.09%) and the candidate of the right, the deputy mayor Maryse Baulu (13.09%). But the latter withdrew to block the RN candidate, without an alliance being able to see the light of day.
