In Moscow, by July 1, the maximum possible part of the restrictive measures introduced due to the situation with the epidemic of coronavirus infection COVID-19 will be lifted. This was stated by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, on the television channel "Russia 24". According to him, a schedule for lifting restrictions can be prepared by Monday, June 8, but you need to consider how the situation with the coronavirus will develop before the end of the week.

“Sanitary restrictions, restrictions on the self-preservation of people, they will remain, it seems to me, not one month for sure. But to return to a normal full life, including the work of restaurants, cafes, hotels, the entire tourism business, fitness centers, weddings and so on, all this must be returned step by step, ”Sobyanin said.

According to him, the removal of restrictions depends not only on plans, but also on the situation with the spread of coronavirus.

The mayor also noted that the capital’s authorities are phasing out restrictions. So, about 55% of trading enterprises have already been opened, and the remainder is preparing to resume work. At the same time, from June 1, residents were allowed to resume walking and playing sports on the street, however, the rules established under this experimental regime allow not to expect a new surge in the incidence, the mayor of the capital noted.

“Absolutely definitely managed to achieve that, thanks also to weather conditions, we did not have overcrowding of parks, squares, separate streets. All this gives a guarantee that we can move on without the risk of a surge in mass diseases in the near future, ”Sobyanin said.

The mayor also said that the budget of Moscow in 2020 will receive less than 500 billion rubles in taxes, and will also spend an additional 250 billion rubles that will be used to support businesses, citizens and to fight COVID-19. He assured that all obligations in the social sphere will be fulfilled.

“For no reason, never, in the end, if necessary, we will borrow money in the market, but fully ensure our obligations. Today it’s not decreasing a penny, everything that is planned and guaranteed by the Muscovites will be fulfilled in full, all benefits, all payments, in-kind benefits, cash, everything will be fulfilled, ”Sobyanin said.

However, in Moscow in the next two to three weeks about 6 thousand beds will be released, which were used for patients with coronavirus. At the same time, another 17 thousand beds are still left to work with patients with COVID-19.

Limitations due to COVID-19 in Moscow

Since the end of March, Moscow has been subject to a set of restrictions related to the spread of coronavirus infection. As the situation develops, these measures were adjusted by the authorities of the capital. So, on May 27, Sergei Sobyanin extended the restrictive measures in force in Moscow until June 14.

At the same time, on July 1, non-food trade resumed in the capital, a number of service enterprises started operating, and it was also possible to go for walks, including for residents of the city over 65 and citizens with chronic diseases.

Along with this, the mayor expressed the opinion that a number of restrictions in force in the city may persist for a long time until the advent of the vaccine.

“The regime of self-preservation, sanitary restrictions, it will last a long time until we get the vaccine. Despite a decrease in hospitalization, it still amounts to hundreds of people, it’s not just hundreds of sick people, but seriously ill people, ”Sobyanin noted.

In addition, the mayor pointed out that temporary hospitals for patients with COVID-19 created in the capital will also remain until the start of mass vaccination against coronavirus. The mayor called this decision "insurance" in the event of a second wave of morbidity.

“This reserve will allow us to boldly return capital hospitals to normal, planned work, which is very important,” said Sobyanin.
