The 2020 version of the colorectal cancer white paper was first published online with
more than 70,000 effective test results showing that the number of positive people accounted for 9.01%; male gut health problems were more serious

On May 29, in order to actively implement the "Healthy China" strategy, Aikang Group and Nuohui Health invited industry experts and scholars to talk about early screening, early diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Photo courtesy of interviewees

On May 29 this year, the 16th World Intestinal Health Day, the Chinese Society of Preventive Medicine, Cancer Prevention and Control Professional Committee, Aikang Group and Nuohui Health jointly released the 2020 version of the "Chinese Physical Examination Population Summary" White Paper on Rectal Cancer and Precancerous Lesions. This is also the second time this white paper has been published since 2019. The data shows that in the effective test results of 75229 people, the number of positive people is 6776, accounting for 9.01%. Among them, the male positive rate is higher than the female, the southern positive rate is higher than the north, the western positive rate is the highest, followed by the east, northeast, Central Region.

Compared with the first white paper, the 2020 edition more comprehensively reflects the current status of national intestinal health, with a view to further arousing people's attention to the screening of colorectal cancer and precancerous lesions and helping healthy China.

According to the latest "Analysis of Malignant Tumor Morbidity and Mortality in China in 2015" released by the National Cancer Center, the number of new malignant tumor cases in China was about 3.929 million in 2015, and the number of malignant tumor deaths in China was about 2.338 million in 2015. Among them, there were 388,000 new cases of colorectal cancer in mainland China, and 187,000 deaths from colorectal cancer that year, which means that on average, about 7 people were diagnosed with colorectal cancer every 10 minutes. Four people died of colorectal cancer.

On July 9, 2019, the Healthy China Action Promotion Committee released the "Healthy China Action (2019-2030)". The document pointed out that measures such as active prevention, early screening, and standardized treatment will reduce the incidence and mortality of cancer. It has a significant effect; by 2022 and 2030, the overall 5-year survival rate of cancer is not less than 43.3% and 46.6%; the awareness rate of the core knowledge of cancer prevention and treatment is not less than 70% and 80%; The rate reached 55% and above and continued to increase, basically realizing that people at high risk of cancer regularly participate in anti-cancer medical examinations.

Colorectal cancer is one of the few malignant tumors that can be detected and treated early through screening. Colorectal cancer has a long process before the precancerous lesion (adenoma) develops into a malignant lesion, providing sufficient time for the early diagnosis and treatment of the disease.

In order to "catch" colorectal cancer earlier, physical examination institutions are also working hard. In 2016, Aikang Group established a strategic partnership with Nuohui Health to provide better intestinal health assessment services for the medical examination population, including multi-target fecal FIT-DNA joint detection technology Chang Weiqing, which is Nuohui Health Self-developed home screening product for bowel cancer, using multi-target stool FIT-DNA joint detection technology recommended by foreign guidelines and domestic consensus, using regression models to comprehensively analyze genetic mutations and methylation joint stool in stool DNA Occult blood index, multi-dimensional detection of intestinal disease signals in all directions, accurate assessment to ensure early detection of early lesions, and advanced intestinal cancer are not missed. The matching special sampling device enables users to sample at home conveniently and quickly. In addition, the sample storage technology is leading in the country, allowing samples to be sent back at room temperature within 7 days.

On May 29, 2020, the Cancer Prevention and Control Professional Committee of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, Aikang Group and Nuohui Health jointly released the 2020 version of the "White Paper on Colorectal Cancer and Precancerous Lesions of Chinese Medical Examination Population" based on molecular diagnosis. 70,000 valid test results were also tested by Chang Weiqing.

  ■ Message from the big coffee

At the same time as the "White Paper on Colorectal Cancer and Precancerous Lesions of Chinese Medical Examinations" was released, Aikang Group also invited Nuohui Health to invite industry leaders to discuss and discuss cancer early screening, early diagnosis and early treatment.

●Professor Zhao Ping, Chairman of the Professional Committee of Cancer Prevention and Control of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association:

As a doctor who has been a doctor for more than 40 years, I deeply understand that if we "emphasize treatment and neglect prevention", there will be a tragic situation in which both human and financial resources are empty. If we bring prevention to the proper level, early diagnosis and treatment can be achieved, so that patients can not only spend less money, but also get cured results.

●Professor Zou Xiaonong, Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary-General of the Cancer Prevention and Control Committee of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association:

We must keep pace with the times, and actively use the existing conditions to improve our understanding of cancer, the risk factors of cancer, and the early detection technology of cancer, so that everyone can take action and really benefit "health." "China".

●Zhu Yeqing, Co-founder and CEO of Nuohui Health:

Among the people with positive results of Chang Weiqing and going for colonoscopy, nearly 50% of the people can detect abnormalities under colonoscopy. However, if you go directly to enteroscopy, according to the research results of the team of academician Li Zhaoshen of Changhai Hospital, only 15%-30% of people have problems. Chang Weiqing can help enteroscopy to effectively improve the detection efficiency, rationally use and save medical resources. This is the real value of high-tech products like Chang Weiqing in preventive medicine.

  ● Zhang Ligang, founder, chairman and CEO of Aikang Group:

Prevention and early screening can effectively prevent cancer and improve survival, especially for bowel cancer. We use World Intestinal Health Day to appeal to everyone. On the one hand, we advocate a healthier lifestyle, and at the same time, we must take the annual physical examination as an important way to prevent cancer.

  【Interpretation of White Paper】

Positive rate slightly increased from 2019

The white paper shows that the overall positive rate of the test results increased slightly. Among the 75229 sample population, the number of positives was 6776, accounting for 9.01%. Compared with the positive rate of 8.93% in 2019, the overall positive rate increased slightly.

It is worth noting that from the perspective of gender distribution, male gut health problems are more serious. According to the white paper data, the male positive rate is 3992, the male positive rate is 9.63%, which is higher than the average level of the tested population, the female test result is 2784, the positive rate is 8.24%, which is lower than the average positive rate of the tested population. This result is also similar to the result in 2019. Compared with the overall positive rate of 8.93% in 2019, the positive rates for men and women were 9.65% and 8.04%, respectively.

According to public data, the incidence of colorectal cancer in my country is also showing a trend of higher males than females. The reason may be related to irregular lifestyles of men and high frequency of smoking and drinking.

The positive rate in the south is higher than that in the north

Judging from the positive rate, the intestinal health status of residents also showed a certain geographical distribution characteristics. The white paper divides the target population (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) according to the economic regional division method of the National Bureau of Statistics. The statistical results show that the western region has the highest positive rate, with 1438 positive people and a positive rate of 9.34%. In addition, there were 4828 positive people in the east, with a positive rate of 8.94%, 139 positive people in the northeast, with a positive rate of 8.86%, and 370 positive people in the middle, with a positive rate of 8.67%. According to the "Analysis of Cancer Incidence and Mortality in Sichuan Cancer Registration Areas in 2013" and "Analysis of Cancer Incidence and Mortality in China in 2013", the incidence of colorectal cancer in Sichuan Province is higher than the national average. The white paper also pointed out that The high incidence of rectal cancer may be related to factors such as dietary habits and rapid economic development of Sichuan residents.

Taking the Qinling-Huaihe River as the boundary between north and south of China’s geography, the white paper divides the target population into north and south, and counts the number of positive people and the positive rate of Chang Weiqing’s test results. The results show that the positive rate in the south is higher than that in the north. The number was 4668, the positive rate was 9.09%, and the positive number in the northern region was 2108, the positive rate was 8.84%.

Routine and other physical examination items should not be abandoned

The white paper also analyzes the data of the positive population based on the physical examination indicators and Chang Weiqing test results.

The results showed that 14.29% of the patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer and receiving anal and digital rectal examinations had rectal tumors; those with confirmed colorectal cancer and detection of carcinoembryonic antigens (CEA, TM12, etc.) Among them, 37.5% of the physical examination results showed an increase in carcinoembryonic antigen; among the subjects who were diagnosed with colorectal cancer and tested for carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9 and TM12, etc.), 41.67% of the physical examination results showed an increase in carbohydrate antigen 19-9 ; Among the subjects diagnosed with colorectal cancer and routinely tested for stool, 33.33% of the physical examination results showed positive stool red blood cells.

This means that routine physical examination indicators have a certain application value in the colorectal cancer screening process, prompting people that physical examination items such as anus, digital rectal examination, and stool routine should not be abandoned. At the same time, it also shows that the multi-target fecal FIT-DNA joint detection technique used by Chang Weiqing Institute is more accurate and can detect colorectal cancer at an earlier stage than traditional detection projects.

Changweiqing positive population follow-up rate, colonoscopy compliance rate increased

The test result of Chang Weiqing is positive, and it is the focus of the examinee's attention on how to help indicate cancer.

The white paper released this time shows that of the 6,776 people who tested positive for Chang Weiqing, 6746 were followed up, with a follow-up rate of 99.56%. Among the follow-up population, 1982 went to the hospital and followed the doctor's instructions for colonoscopy and/or pathological diagnosis. The compliance rate of colonoscopy was 29.38%; 869 of them had found intestinal abnormalities, and the detection rate of enteroscopy abnormalities was 43.84%.

Comparing with the 2019 data, it can be found that the follow-up rate and colonoscopy compliance rate of Chang Weiqing-positive people have increased, and the rate of abnormal detection of colonoscopy has increased slightly.

At the same time, the white paper released this time shows that people with positive results of Chang Weiqing's colonoscopy had abnormalities in which over seven became precancerous lesions. Among the 869 subjects with abnormal colonoscopy and/or pathological diagnosis, The diagnosis of colorectal cancer accounted for 3.57%; precancerous lesions (polyps or adenoma) accounted for 73.53%; other intestinal diseases (enteritis, etc.) accounted for 22.90%.

People under the age of 40 need to screen for intestinal health early

Among the subjects under 40 years old, there were 172 patients with abnormal colonoscopy and/or pathological diagnosis, accounting for 19.79% of all subjects with abnormal colonoscopy and/or pathological diagnosis. Among them, a total of 1 were followed up for colorectal cancer, 88 for precancerous lesions (polyps or adenoma), and 83 for other intestinal diseases (enteritis, etc.).

The white paper recommends that people under 40 years of age need effective early detection of intestinal diseases.
