The account of the prisoners of conscience on Twitter said that the family of the Saudi detainee, Jane Al-Hathloul, confirmed that she had not been contacted for the third consecutive week, with no visits to her since mid-March.

The Prisoners of Conscience account added to Twitter tweets that Lujain’s family is concerned about her conditions and health, and that this interruption in communications and visits is similar to the interruption during her previous periods of torture and solitary confinement.

The detainees of opinion account also demanded the Saudi authorities to immediately reveal the situation of Lujain Al-Hathloul, by allowing her to communicate with her family and to release her immediately without condition, describing her continued detention as invalid and legally unacceptable.

In a related matter, the Euromed Observatory stated that French Parliamentary Virgennie Dobbie Muller directed a query to the Minister of State in charge of Equality between Men and Women in France, "Marilyn Chiappa" regarding the rights of women in Saudi Arabia, according to a report released by the Observatory last March.

She warned the French parliamentarian that the report of the Observatory pointed out that despite promises of reform in Saudi Arabia in the field of women's rights, the reality of her daily life is still very far from ambitions.

She pointed to the arrest and detention of dozens of Saudi activists, calling for them to implement the rights promised by the Saudi government.

The French representative asked about the measures that the French government could take to highlight the frightening facts contained in the Euromed Observatory report.
