Like bars and restaurants, campsites are reopening this Tuesday. Guest of Europe 1, the vice-president of the Federation of outdoor accommodation, Christophe Lelièvre, details the measures that accompany this event.

INTERVIEW

They are just waiting for customers. This June 2 marks certainly the reopening of bars and restaurants in France, but also that of camping. After more than two months of closure, they are ready to welcome holidaymakers, as explained at the microphone of Europe 1 morning by the vice-president of the FNHPA (Federation of outdoor accommodation), Christophe Lelièvre . "The campsites will be able to reopen in accordance with a provisional health protocol, since the final has not yet been validated by the state services."

A "Covid-19 referent"

Changes "at the margin" hastened to specify Christophe Lelièvre, before detailing some of the measures put in place. As for restaurants or construction sites, each campsite will have a "Covid-19 referent responsible for implementing the protocol, raising awareness among employees, but also installing all awareness raising devices for customers", especially in the areas common. Because vacationers will have an "important role to play so that the season goes well".

Maintained activities

All "the activities are maintained and no place will be closed," says the vice-president, referring to the swimming pools, eating places and bars. With the exception, however, of "indoor activities which cannot be held for the moment". But Christophe Lelièvre is hopeful to see "relaxation of the measures after the announcements of June 22", the beginning of phase 3 of the deconfinement.

Finally, health measures "will not necessarily change life on the campsite much," he said. And if the reception of customers is going to be "behind a visor or a Plexiglas plate" he assures it, "the spirit of conviviality will always be there".
