by Tiziana Di Giovannandrea 02 June 2020 Post Coronavirus active flights and airports: we are returning to a partial normalcy. The decree with the new provisions for air and sea transport has been signed by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Paola De Micheli. The Minister for Infrastructure, in agreement with the Minister for Health, has also taken steps to regulate mobility throughout the country in view of the reopening of June 3 and health checks in ports and airports.

As regards air transport , the operation of the services is limited to the airports of Alghero, Ancona, Bari, Bergamo-Orio al Serio, Bologna, Brindisi, Cagliari, Catania, Florence-Peretola, Genoa, Lamezia Terme, Lampedusa, Milan Malpensa, Naples Capodichino, Olbia, Palermo, Pantelleria, Pescara, Pisa, Rome Ciampino, Rome Fiumicino, Turin,  Venice Card.

In airports not included in the list are permitted for general aviation activities. Enac, after obtaining the assent of Minister De Micheli, will be able to integrate the list of airports already operating today.

There is no limitation for travel to and from Sicily .
Furthermore, with his own ordinance, the governor Nello Musumeci confirmed the opening of the bathing season starting next June 6; has given the green light to all activities already authorized, but above all has put an end to the mandatory quarantine for those who return to Sicily starting from 3 June, for which health surveillance will remain and the obligation to notify the family doctor in case of onset of symptoms attributable to Covid-19. These are some of the most important measures contained in the order of the President of the Region of Sicily, which in fact significantly eases the restrictions envisaged to contain the Coronavirus epidemic, without neglecting the fundamental controls and registration on the portals that concern all those who do return to the island.

For the Sardinia Region, given the particular situation of the island's health organization, the Paola De Micheli decree states that until 12 June the sea and air transport (on Cagliari, Alghero and Olbia) of scheduled passengers to and from the Sardinia is limited to services carried out in territorial continuity in public service. The transportation of goods is not subject to limitations. Starting from June 13th, all domestic flights to and from Sardinia will be restarted and also maritime passenger transport will have no restrictions. Finally, foreign flag ships used in cruise services  are allowed to enter Italian ports only for the purpose of idle parking. The provisions of the decree are effective until 14 June 2020.
