Al-Jazeera correspondent in Lebanon quoted the official spokesman for the United Nations forces, Andrea Tintenti, that an Israeli army force crossed the technical tape between Lebanon and Israel today, during the exercises it was conducting in the "Maskaf General" settlement, opposite the Lebanese town of Al-Adaisah.
Tenenti added that the Israeli force did not violate the Blue Line, which is the Israeli withdrawal line after the 2006 war, and pointed out that the UN forces - known as UNIFIL - followed up with the Lebanese army on the field conditions, and that things returned to normal.
The Lebanese official news agency said that an IDF infantry force crossed the technical fence through the iron gate at the Mahafir-Kharj locality, Adisa, with the support of two tanks. The agency added that the Israeli force conducted a survey and combing of the aforementioned area, without violating the Blue Line, and an alert was registered to the Lebanese army, and a number of military vehicles were brought in.

Hezbollah's war media reported that the Merkava tanks crossed the southern gate of the "Mascaf General" settlement to the border area that Lebanon maintains at the town of Adisa, in conjunction with an alert to the Lebanese army and United Nations forces.

On the other hand, the spokesman for the Israeli army, Avichai Adraei, claimed - in a statement posted on Facebook - that the Israeli military force "was carrying out normal activities in an area under Israeli sovereignty." Adraei added that members of the Lebanese army arrived at the scene, and the two sides directed their weapons towards each other. Without further details.
The United Nations established the Blue Line after the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon in 2000, to confirm this withdrawal, but this line, and if it did not observe the official borders accurately, Israel tried more than once to breach it, thus creating a state of tension on both sides.
The incident comes days after celebrating the twenty-year anniversary of the departure of the occupation soldiers from Lebanon, after 19 years of its invasion of southern Lebanon with the aim of ending the attacks of the Palestine Liberation Organization.
