The work affects the basement of the county museum, where parts of the museum's collection are stored, and there is a risk of plaster falling down over the collection.

"There we have, among other things, photographs, porcelain, glass and a lot of cultural-historical material," says Liselotte Munther, head of unit documentation, collection and public activities at the museum.

Ready in the winter

The basement is emptied and the collection that requires special premises for humidity and safety will instead be stored in one of the exhibition halls. It is about changing water and sewage pipes in the property.

- A hall will be closed from August to sometime in February - March. It is in the hall where we show our own art collection, the large white hall.

Otherwise, the autumn and winter exhibitions will be shown as planned. At the same time, there are fewer visitors to the museum in Coronan's track.
