May 30, 2020The Pentagon is "ready, willing and able" to send troops to Minnesota to deal with the violence, should the state request it. American President Donald Trump said in response to the press before flying to Florida for the launch of Space X. Trump therefore added that the Minneapolis authorities should be "tougher" with the protesters.

"Going beyond state lines to incite violence is a federal crime! Liberal governors and mayors must be tougher or the federal government will intervene and do what needs to be done, including the use of our army's unlimited power and numerous arrests. Thanks". So in his latest tweet US President Donald Trump, referring to the protests that are rampant in the United States after the killing of African American George Floyd, during a police arrest in Minneapolis.

Those of President Trump against those who sparked the protests are the same words used by the head of the Department of Justice, William Barr, in a statement. Barr also stated that "justice will be done in the George Floyd case".

New York in the square for George Floyd
The appointment was on 125th street on the corner with Adam C. Powell Jr Boulevard, in the historic district of Harlem, a stone's throw from the popular Apollo theater, whose stage over the years has been trodden by major stars African American women. Shouting 'No justice no peace' and 'Black lives matter', thousands of people invaded the area amidst stringent security measures. There were a hundred agents deployed, all wearing masks. The policemen were the target of the protesters: 'Spell racism, is Nypd', the spelling of racism is New York Police Department. Despite the attacks, the agents remained calm and distanced in order to prevent the situation from escalating, as happened in the last few days of demonstrations across America. Protesters took the floor one by one to call for justice and respect. But in the days of the coronavirus they also asked for an intervention to suspend the payment of rents and decent wages for medical staff, nurses on the front line. A girl conquered the grandstand and asked "the whites" to leave: "These are our problems, you don't know what it means". Frost-wrapped words: the microphone was immediately torn from her hand. And the chorus has risen: 'Unity to win', united to win. The tension rose but it was a few minutes: the girl was removed with all her anger, between the screams. A few minutes, however, useful for the organizers to distribute a business card among those present with the telephone numbers to call in case of arrest. Then the protesters started marching the streets of Harlem, singing under the watchful eye of a couple of helicopters who followed them step by step, while the cars at the traffic lights trumpeted in solidarity. In the background, the jazz of Miles Davis that resounded from the windows or from the premises still closed due to the pandemic filled the few seconds of silence between one song and another, to the delight of those who started improvising ballets on the street.
