Two police officers belonging to the Federal Protective Service were shot during the protests in Oakland, California, on Friday night, police say. One of them has died from his injuries. It reports CNN.

At least 7,500 protesters have been protesting in the streets of Oakland as a result of George Floyd being killed in connection with being arrested by police.

- Two Federal Protective Service officers stationed at the Oakland Down Town Federal Building have been shot. Unfortunately, one of his injuries died, police say to CNN.

The police are investigating the incident.

The Federal Protective Service is governed by the United States Department of the Interior, the Department of Homeland Security, and works with security and law enforcement.
