In Västmanland, most football associations, totaling 27, have applied for compensation support from the government's pot of SEK 500 million.

Together with other local football associations, Skiljebo has now also turned to the municipality with the wish that they make the plans rent-free. It would allow more associations to have their children's and youth business up and running, Lars Lundqvist believes.

- More plans and larger areas may also be needed for customized activities where you can also keep a distance, something I do not think all associations can afford.

Municipality: "Find other ways to support"

The municipality has already taken several measures - which VLT previously reported on. But rent-free for all municipal associations becomes too expensive, says Vicki Skure Eriksson (C), chairman of the committee for sport, leisure and prevention.

The board has already backed millions due to lost rental income. Instead, Vicki Skure Eriksson sees the importance of finding other ways to continue supporting. See her entire response to the wishes of the football clubs in the clip above.

- There are about SEK 400,000 left in the committee's emergency pot, but that is not far enough. We are discussing in the majority how we can get rid of more emergency support money in some way, says Vicki Skure Eriksson (C) Photo: SVT
