- We noted that there are many parties that think much like us, that it should be added as soon as possible and not wait until after this crisis. Then I have told the government that I want you to change your mind. If you don't, we will raise that issue in the Constitutional Committee on Tuesday, says Ulf Kristersson.

It was in early May that Prime Minister Stefan Löfven told him that a corona commission would be appointed, but only after the crisis.

The Swedish Democrats, the Liberals, the Christian Democrats and the Center Party also want the Commission to start soon.

- For example, we highlighted the need to quickly get started on the commission work that has been announced, and there I find that many parties think so. There we have said that there must be a special focus on the care of the elderly, says the Swedish Democrats' party leader Jimmie Åkesson.

"Government is late"

The Left Party also opens up for a changed stance on the issue.

- We want a commission. We have previously said that we may want to have it this fall, but it is possible to start earlier, says Jonas Sjöstedt, party leader for the Left Party.

L leader Nyamko Sabuni says the government has not delivered on what all parties have identified as important, and cites the Corona Commission and the tests as an example.

- The government is late in many ways. We like a lot of what we talk about, but then there is very little business behind it, says Nyamko Sabuni.

Underpinnings are produced

Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S) answers at a press conference on Friday that the government is working on the issue of a corona commission.

- We are working on what kind of mandate this commission should have and there we have said that we want the parties to give their views and input, says the prime minister.

However, Stefan Löfven could not say exactly when the Commission is likely to get started.
