This week, the Swedish Forest Agency made the first emptying of the total 200 bark drill traps they put out at four biotope protected fir forests in Värmland. The emptying shows that the bark drills have begun to swarm. If it becomes a dry and hot summer, the attacks can be the worst in decades, says the Swedish Forest Agency.
