The Department of Human Resources in Ajman issued a circular on the gradual return of workplaces in government agencies in the Emirate of Ajman and the return of work by 30% as a minimum, starting on Sunday, May 31, 2020 and gradually increasing based on developments.


The issuance of the circular comes on the basis of Executive Council Chairman Decision No. (7) of 2020 regarding effective crisis management in the Ajman government, with the aim of organizing some new developments regarding the application of the remote work system in government agencies to ensure the continuity of business and services with government agencies in light of the precautionary measures and preventive measures to maintain On the safety of employees in line with the efforts and measures taken at the national level, aimed at limiting the spread of the new coronavirus "Covid 19".


The circular provided for the exclusion of a number of groups from returning to workplaces and the application of the remote work system in emergency situations. The exception includes employees who are pregnant, those with determination, those with chronic diseases and immune deficiencies, and employees of the elderly category (over 60 years).


Exceptions also include employees who care for their children from the ninth grade or less, who have children in foster care or care for them at home, and mothers who care for their children who are carefree whose health condition requires permanent care in emergency circumstances.


The employees who live with the groups most at risk of health hazards in the same housing and who are in direct contact with them, such as the elderly people over the age of 60 and those with determination, and those who suffer from chronic diseases or weak immunity are excluded.


The department instructed all government agencies in the emirate to return work from Sunday, May 31, 2020 AD, with attendance at 30% as a minimum and gradually increasing based on developments.


The circular outlined procedures for entry and exit of employees to and from workplaces in government agencies in the emirate upon the gradual return of employees to work for their safety, which included health precautions related to social spacing between employees for a distance of no less than two meters, and providing separate entry and exit points for employees as much as possible to reduce communication And measuring the temperature of the employees entering the government agency headquarters according to the health tools and guidelines in force in the country, in addition to applying the flexible working system to avoid crowding, peak hours and crowding, while continuing to suspend the use of fingerprint devices to prove attendance and leave and use the system of self-procedures for human resources (resources).


The circular referred to the procedures for activating comprehensive and deep sterilization programs in government agencies while providing the requirements of all preventive programs, and launching an awareness program for employees that includes awareness leaflets, tips and advice on the latest health developments through all possible means for all government agency employees.


The circular also clarified the procedures for organizing the absorptive capacity to be present in the workplaces and ensuring the readiness of the workplaces and offices and preparing them to receive employees and customers in accordance with the national precautionary measures and procedures, while stressing all employees and dealers with the necessity of wearing face masks and gloves in all government agency facilities from the beginning of the work until the end of it. Besides, the circular outlines procedures for providing the necessary technical environment in the workplace through commitment to optimal planning to ensure the existence of technical infrastructure and electronic systems supportive of remote work for the excluded groups and encouraging the use of platforms and technological means to conduct meetings while providing electronic channels of support and support.
