Thieves look at Hällefors new playground - will cost just over SEK 1 million

The old playground next to Kyllervägen has been demolished and a new one will be built right next door.

- The old playground was very close to a busy street. By changing the location in the park we get a much safer environment and then we get away from exhaust and noise. It will be more like a place for strolls where you can meet, says Arne Tschentscher, city gardener at the Samhällsbyggnad Bergslagen.

But placement is not the only thing that will change.

- It will be a much bigger and cooler park. There will be something for the younger children, but there will definitely be something for the older children too, says Arne Tschentscher.

The price tag for the play equipment is SEK 363,000 and the cost of the entire park including the walkway will be just over SEK 1 million. The park is expected to be completed in early July.
