17 Arab countries announced that today, Saturday, is the completion of the month of Ramadan, and one of the first days of Eid Al-Fitr. This came after it was impossible to see the crescent of the month of Shawwal yesterday evening Friday, according to what the competent authorities in those countries announced.

In Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, the Emirates and Bahrain, the competent authorities announced that it is impossible to see the Shawwal crescent on Friday evening, so that the Sabbath is the completion of Ramadan, and Sunday is the first day of Eid Al Fitr.

The muftis of the country announced in Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia and Libya that Saturday is the completion of the month of Ramadan, and Sunday will be the first day of Eid.

In Iraq, the head of the Sunni Endowment Bureau announced that Sunday was the first day of Eid Al Fitr, and the first legal judge in Syria announced the same date.

The Ministry of Endowments of the internationally recognized Yemeni government and the Houthi Fatwa House of Fatwa agreed that Saturday is the month of Ramadan, and Sunday is the first day of Eid Al Fitr.

Likewise, the competent authorities in Djibouti and Comoros announced that tomorrow Sunday is the first day of the holiday, and that Saturday is the completion of the month of Ramadan.

Malaysia and Turkey also announced that today, Saturday, is the month of Ramadan, and that Sunday is the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.

As for Mauritania and Somalia, today is the first day of Eid Al Fitr, as announced by the Mauritanian People’s Committee and the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Somalia. Mali, Niger and Ivory Coast officially announced the end of the holy month of Ramadan yesterday, Friday.

In other Arab countries such as the Sultanate of Oman, Sudan and Morocco, the Shawwal crescent will be investigated this evening, Saturday, as Ramadan started on April 25 last, so it falls on the 28th of Friday.

The Shiites in Iraq and Lebanon in Iraq are also looking to see the crescent on Saturday evening for the same reason.
