According to information to SVT News Öst, more than 700 sports associations in Östergötland would rather need around SEK 100 million in state aid. Thus, it is one fifth of the national support that the National Sports Federation (RF) has distributed to the country's associations.

RF SISU Östergötland's district manager does not want to confirm or reject these figures, but she states that the state money will not suffice.

"Big economic consequences"

- Far from the end. There are very large financial consequences for the sports associations. In addition, these 500 million are only dimensioned until last June and there are many events and competitions that are organized after what is not included in this application, says RF SISU Östergötland district manager Kristin Lönnqvist.

In the clip above, Lönnqvist talks about this, but also about how the sports associations in Östergötland are feeling now that the Corona pandemic has affected them for a long time.
