The Mediation Institute is an authority that works with labor disputes and the official wage statistics in Sweden. According to Irene Wennemo, one of the problems with compensation to risk groups is the large amount of Swedes who would be entitled to compensation. According to the National Board of Health and Welfare, it is about 200,000 people.

- If they leave the workforce and get into another type of compensation, it is very difficult to liquidate it again, says Wennemo.

For example, it may be that employers who are currently trying to solve the problem for the risk groups would instead use the opportunity for compensation instead, and that they lose their foothold in the working life. It is also not known how long this situation will continue and the measure risks becoming expensive for Sweden.

- It is extremely large sums. I figured a little easy and you landed it would be 40 billion annually, and then you do not even count on the tax loss. If you count that, we are almost up to the size of the defense.
