A spokesman for the Saudi Ministry of Health, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdali, told a press conference that 2840 new cases of the virus were recorded, bringing the total number of cases in the Kingdom to 51,980 cases. The average number of new cases recorded daily last week was 1500.

The spokesman pointed out that 1797 cases were recovered, bringing the total number of those recovered to 23,666.

In Amman, the Jordanian Minister of State for Information Affairs, Amjad Awda Al-Adayleh, confirmed that lifting the ban completely and returning life to normal depends mainly on the epidemiological situation in the Kingdom, indicating that the failure to record any cases of the emerging coronavirus for three weeks in a row may lead to this. .

The Jordanian News Agency (Petra) yesterday quoted Al-Adayleh as saying that there is no specific time to completely reopen the country and return matters to normal, stressing that Jordan's success in getting rid of the epidemic also depends on the ability of its neighboring Arab countries to eradicate it.

He pointed out that the success of the Jordanian experience in dealing with the Corona Virus lies in the strict measures taken by the government through imposing a comprehensive and partial curfew in various parts of the Kingdom, and taking quarantine measures for those coming from abroad, closing borders and preventing travel, in addition to harmony and cooperation between citizens and agencies Official.

He explained that as a result of the positive commitment of citizens in dealing with decisions, the government began to ease the procedures for the ban, as it allowed citizens to go out to buy their supplies and needs from ten in the morning until six in the evening, and then expanded at times to become from eight in the morning until seven in the evening.

On the opening of the economic and commercial sectors despite the end of the epidemic, Al-Adayleh pointed out that the economy was one of the sectors most affected by the imposition of a comprehensive curfew. "Therefore, it was necessary to return some sectors in order for our economy not to be significantly affected."

Al-Adayleh pointed out that there are many facilities closed as a result of non-compliance with public safety standards and conditions, in terms of adherence to the use of medical masks and gloves for their employees and obliging citizens and visitors as well.

On the reason for the continued closure of places of worship, schools and universities, Al-Adayleh said that the government decided not to open schools and universities until the end of the school year, indicating that if the epidemiological situation in the Kingdom was good, universities will open their doors in preparation for the summer semester, while if the health status continues as it is now Educational institutions will continue to distance education.

In Rabat, the Moroccan Ministry of Health announced the registration of two new deaths due to infection with the Coronavirus, bringing the total number of deaths in the Kingdom to 192.

The ministry, in a press statement on its website, indicated that 29 new confirmed cases of the virus were recorded, bringing the total number of infections in the Kingdom to 6,661.

It also pointed to the recovery of 75 injuries, bringing the total of those recovering in the country to 3475 cases, explaining that the cases excluded after negative laboratory analyzes amounted to 77414 cases.

The Ministry stressed the need to adhere to the rules of hygiene and health safety, and to engage in the precautionary measures taken by the Moroccan authorities with full patriotism and responsibility.

In Beirut, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the registration of 11 new cases of the emerging coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 902 cases.

The ministry said in a press statement, that no new deaths were recorded with the virus, "so that the number of deaths to date will reach 26 deaths."

She noted that the number of recovery cases reached 247.
