“The ninth IL-76 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces arrived at the Chkalovsky airfield (Moscow region) with military personnel and special military equipment from the combined detachment of the Russian Ministry of Defense, which performed tasks to assist in the fight against coronavirus infection in the Italian Republic,” the message cites RIA News.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense said that the transfer of military personnel and special equipment from Italy is carried out as planned.
The Russian units of radiation, chemical and biological protection, which helped in Italy to combat the coronavirus pandemic, began to return to their homeland on May 8.
