Badalona, 1978. The king of the 'electro Latino' wants to challenge the low moods of this time with a new warm theme ('Madrid X Marbella') and a 'talent show online' ('Sing with me'). But, warn, the procession always goes inside.

In times when the virus 'eats' everything, what is it like to release new songs? You have to keep doing it. Like every citizen, you have ups and downs, days that encourage everyone and others that need to be encouraged. But in the end you understand that if your virtue or your gift has been to entertain people, you have to keep doing it. More than ever, people need to get away from this huge move that is happening to us. Do you miss another context? I would love to have released my latest song in a 'normal' context. But in the end you convince yourself that you are doing a good beyond what is the music business, which you put aside a little in favor of passion. Live in the Dominican Republic. What is it like to be half Dominican? My thing is love at first sight with the country. When you love, perhaps you are a little blind. But I am not: I see what the country lacks, such as further development in many sociocultural and political aspects. It is true that I am lucky to live in a privileged place in the Dominican Republic, although I also know how to live outside of those residential areas. And when it comes to music, it's that you kick a stone and something sounds: Children grow up wanting to be musicians or baseball players. It's amazing, but it usually comes and goes, doesn't it? What happens is that Spain throws me a lot. And in this case, and worried about the situation and my family, I came here. Have you been to Julio Iglesias's house there? I could write you a topic, right? I'm super shy and it bothers me. But, ugh, I'm a crazy Julio fan. I would love to do something with him, although I have a deep respect for him and I have not even dared to approach him yet. What is the point of making the music you make? I am obsessed with philosophy and I think that there is something of it in all things. Even in the most banal music, in the sense of being the 'opium' of the people. And I think that the one that serves that purpose is not made from the great elites, but from the people themselves, that is, nothing elevated. I try to respect all genres, all races, but always without going over the poet. I don't want to educate anyone. I want to continue being banal, but with an acceptable content and respected by the majority of the people. How are you carrying the confinement? I'm not bored because I'm working a lot. What happens is a mess because the children, poor things, do not stop and need activity. It is crazy. You can't sit down to work 45 minutes on something without someone coming to tell you anything or hearing any noise. You do not concentrate. Ah, the creatures. I am crazy that the children can go to 'school' and play soccer. For returning to more or less normal life. That it is not going to be normal, but ... regular. What is your positive thinking these days? I only see the moment to see my parents hugging my children. When all this happens, how will we be? I think people forget everything very quickly. It is a horrible human problem. We are living very cool moments of solidarity. And we will continue to live them for a time, but there will come a time when everyone will forget again. I do not have much confidence in the human being, although I do believe that there are more good than bad. But by heart we are going fatal, that is, we will not be wiser, I hope that I sow a seed of the brain - not in the heart, which softens fast - so that we can add tomorrow and become better people. Now, I doubt it will happen. How does fear lead to the 'bug'? I prefer to go outside and think that perhaps one day it will infect me to stay my whole fucking life and live 'dying' in my house. And the fear of being forgotten? That fear occurs among people with lack of self-esteem, or with little confidence in their work. Today there is a high percentage of people who make songs to last two weeks. If you are aware that your music has an expiration of one month, you are screwed. But if you do things to make them last, nothing will happen to you. Do you already feel a 'pureta' for the youth? Keep coming, with all the 'inputs' that the young people have, or among the aggressive lyrics that they like now , makes me feel proud. It is very difficult to enter their room while they are confined or studying.
