An experiment that sounds like a breath of fresh air. The prefect of Seine-Saint-Denis authorized Tuesday evening the reopening "on an experimental basis" of the Georges Valbon park, located between the municipalities of La Courneuve, Saint-Denis, Stains and Dugny. A first in Ile-de-France, located in the red zone. This 410 hectare park - the largest of the eight departmental parks in Seine-Saint-Denis - will reopen according to classic summer schedules.

However, this reopening remains subject to strict rules: if individual sports - cycling, jogging, walking ... - are allowed, the playgrounds or sports grounds remain closed. Likewise, refreshments and toilets will not reopen on Thursday. High barriers will be installed to prevent access to these spaces which will remain prohibited. “The Department will take all measures to enforce health regulations within Parc Georges Valbon and I also count on everyone's civic spirit, so that, as we wish, other departmental parks can reopen soon on the 'territory together,' says Stéphane Troussel, the president of the department in a press release.
