Europe is slowly fading away. Italy has entered phase 2 of the management of the health crisis. Traffic restrictions have been relaxed, but stores in Milan are not expected to reopen until next week. From our special correspondent in Milan,

With a distance of one meter between them, public transport will no longer be enough. So, the municipality plans to modify the schedules of the zones with limited traffic and anticipates certain works.

“  We tried to make a plan of 35 kilometers of cycle routes, like the one we see there, explains Marco Granelli, municipal councilor for mobility. We increase the space for motorcycles. We moved the parking lot to the center of the street, and sometimes we also widened the sidewalk.  "

Enough to put distance between pedestrians or terrace tables. On the other hand, the circulation of cars looks less easy. “  We are in the process of increasing the parking lots. So you can leave the car at the gates of the city and take a bike,  ”added the elected official.

The offer of free-sharing bicycles and scooters must also be substantially increased. At Corso Venezia, in front of the works in progress, some welcome the new cycle paths, but sometimes remain skeptical.

For Ricardo, drawing tracks with paint has its limits.  In practice, how can a cyclist pass on a track where cars have parked? It is something else. Look at that one ... and these,   "he comments.

In his bakery, Domenico is downright furious: “  We can no longer park, have coffee, bread. It's horrible. Where are we going ? How do we do ? There, it sucks. They’re all wrong. "

In the smallest streets, the town hall simply plans to limit the speed.
