The UAE today sent an aid plane containing 7 tons of medical supplies to Sierra Leone, to support it in limiting the spread of the emerging Corona Virus (Covid-19), and more than 7,000 health care workers will benefit from it to enhance their efforts to contain the spread of the virus.

Omar Al Muhairi, Chargé d'Affairs to the Embassy of the State in Senegal said: "The UAE is committed to assisting its partners across Africa in the relentless efforts to combat the (Covid-19) virus, and the assistance provided today to Sierra Leone would enhance the ability of health care workers to combat This virus by providing them with the protection and equipment necessary to ensure their safety. "

To date, the UAE has provided more than 479 tons of aid to more than 44 countries, of which about 479,000 medical workers have benefited.
